Guidelines for contribution of research papers to Journal of Applied Zoological Research
Journal of Applied Zoological Research, a leading journal in applied zoology published half yearly since 1990 by the Applied Zoologists Research Association (AZRA), Cuttack, India, invites and accepts contributions from the non-members & members of the association. After requisite peer reviewing, it publishes original articles on various aspects of applied zoology including entomology, nematology, acarology, rodentology, ornithology, sericulture, apiculture, lacculture, biomedical sciences, toxicology and environment etc. & fish and fisheries sciences, biodiversity, pest-management and pesticides, bio-pesticides and botanicals biotechnology. Article should be original, indicate period (years) of experimentation, based on data of minimum 2 years for full research papers, and short notes should not exceed 20 and 4 typed pages including tables and figures, respectively.
TITLE should be short, specific and informative having 14 size font, all capitals, left aligned. The title page should include the name (s) of author (s), affiliation, and mailing address with e-mail of corresponding author, a running short title not exceeding 40 characters. By-line should contain the place (organization) where research was conducted.
ABSTRACT written in complete and simple sentences, should not be more than 150 words 10 size font. Key words (maximum seven) must be given; and these should appear just beneath the abstract.
INTRODUCTION part should be brief and limited to the problem or the aim and scope of the experiment, 12 size fonts, and justified alignment.
MATERIALS AND METHODS relevant details should be given including experimental design and the technique (s) used along with appropriate statistical methods used clearly along with the year of experimentations (field and laboratory), 12 size font, justified alignment.
RESULTS AND DISCUSSION should be combined, to avoid repetition. Results should be supported by brief but adequate tables or graphic or pictorial presentation, whenever necessary. Self-explanatory tables should be typed on separate sheets; tables should fit in normal page lay-out. All figures including drawings, graph and diagrams should be formatted preferably by MSWord. if drawn in Excel , the data file may also be submitted along with graphs, scanned images of photographs must be on quality glossy paper (hardcopy), and soft copy should be in separate file ( minimum 300 dpi resolution), in jpeg or tiff format. Line drawings and photographs should have legends. Original art work should accompany 2 copies. Repetition in graphic and tabular matter ought to be avoided, 12 size font, justified alignment.
REFERENCES: All the names of authors in the text as well as in list of refferences should be in capital letters, name of the journal should be in italics, volume No. should be bold.
After paper is accepted, author (s) has to pay printing charges @ Rs 300/page for AZRA Members & Rs 350/page for Non-AZRA members.
